- 1 tsp soya sauce
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions to make to make Schezwan Chicken
- Soak kashmiri red chillies in water for least 30 min.then grind chillies with little water till smooth paste.keep aside
- Heatvoil.add finely chopped garlic & ginger & fry till row aroma fades away.add finely chop onionsand fry till onion blends in with garlic.add chilli paste & rest of the ingredients. Bring to boil,add water & simmer till sauce thickens,oil separated & shown at surface.
- Whisk together soya sauce,ketchup,garlic paste,red chilli powder,salt,baking powder in a bowl.add chicken and marinate for least 1 hr.more marination more taste
- Mix cornflour,all-purpose flour,ginger powder,egg & whisk.add this to chicken & mix well to create thick batter.use hands to mix the batter do as to avoid any lumps & allow proper coating of chicken
- Fry battered pieces in oil at medium flame till golden.if any batter is left, add 1 tsp oil in pan & fry the batter.add white part of spring onion & bellpepper as well &stir fry.add fried chicken pieces to this fried batter& roll it. This will add to flavour.
- Warm up the schezwan sauce, add chicken into sauce,mix at low flame to coat chicken fully in sauce.sprinkle chop greens of spring onion on top
- Enjoy fiery sweet schwezan chicken with fried rice or even noodles
